In 2000 vocalist Maiko Mogi met guitarist Naoya Yuda through BBS and have been putting out music ever since. The band classifies themselves as "Electronic Pop" inspired by a range of artists including Mick Jagger,  Aimee Man, Jane Birkin, Edith Piaf, and CSS. Red Sun has been a mainstay in the Tokyo club scene, performing 2-3 times a month, often at Sangenjaya's Heaven's Door.
