Girls Tape Store formed in September 2001. In February of 2002 they contributed a song to a Minty Fresh Japan compilation album. In August of the same year, they released their first EP titled I'm in mood. Girls Tape Store formed in September 2001. In February of 2002 they contributed a song to a Minty Fresh Japan compilation album. In August of the same year, they released their first EP titled I'm in mood. The song "Crack" from the EP entered the College Radio Japan (CRJ) Central chart in No.1 position. In May of 2003 the song "niji" was released on Virtual Architecture, a Sucre records compilation album, and featured on the Swedish radio show "P3 Pop". In July of 2003 their second EP in the clouds was released, and reached No.1 on the CRJ-Tokyo chart, No.2 on the CRJ Central chart, and No.6 on the CRJ West chart. Their last release was the song "GOODNIGHT,GOODNIGHT", appearing on a compilation album put out by tetera records, released in June of 2007.
