Like Capsule, the acts on Contemode exist to serve as accessories, and are often found for sale alongside high-priced, trendy clothes and knickknacks in Tokyo's hippest boutiques. In addition to making music with Capsule and running his label, Nakata plans events, DJs (often at events with stylistic brethren
Karia Nomoto, Yasuharu Konishi, and others), writes for other artists, does design work, and in 2004 released a short film entitled
Portable Kuko (Portable Airport).
